Wheeler too good in hunter event

On Saturday Armidale members of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) held a hunter event with 12 members shooting in the competition.

Shooting in the light class (6 power scope) Norm Wheeler won overall with a score of 247.08 out of a possible 250, followed by Glen Motley (196.00) and Noel Watson with 193.00.

In the custom class Jeff Raue came in with a score of 247.03, Bob Cook 245.06, Megan Wheeler 244.04, Richard Drozdowski 244.02, Phil Gardner 243.03, John Harrison 243.03, Damien Lenane 235.03, Alex Reeves (junior) 219.02 and Bruce Reeves 170.00.

With benches full to overflowing other shooters took the opportunity to practise.

Our next shoot at Armidale to be held on Sunday will be a field rifle event with the gate opening at 9am. and shooting to commence at 9.30.

The following weekend shooting will be held at Woodlawn, Uralla.
